A friend of mine once wore heels on a camping trip. Like, an in-the-woods camping trip. When confronted about it, she angrily held one up to display its relatively short elevation and insisted “it’s a FUNCTIONAL HEEL!”
This was one of the last strips I read before I went to the lands of no internet (where dragons be.) It made me homesick for the completely unreasonable ice-coated hills of Seattle, and today again it does the same.
