You know, every once in a while I get concerned for this girl, what with not sleeping and the whole Bruce escapade
But she just keeps doing things like this to retain her #1 spot for me.
I would probably buy this cover and loop in on my ipod for weeks.
Your version is better than Lady Gaga’s. The original’s actually the most desultory, half-assed song I’ve heard in a long time, as though it’s community service for some kind of gay misdemeanor (a friend speculates unlicensed bio queening). But the queer community has tremendous self-esteem issues and thinks she’s better than it deserves so I guess it’s diversity’s thing now??
Also she manages to appropriate an ethnic slur during her conscience-for-pop-ballad, but I’ve never been able to listen to it for more than 90 seconds.
Unrelated but still important: the best ukelele pun (because I’m sure you want to deal with those right now) is “Uke of Earl”.
I do this comic for free, but if you like it and have a little extra to throw my way, I'd very much appreciate it.

My friend Padgett actually does a thing where he records himself playing songs he has never heard, based on friend suggestions.
I just heard the karaoke version at a fundraiser for the rock camp for girls, but frankly it seems pretty much spot on.
STRUM STRUM STRUM STRUM STRUM

Cleo, nooooo! Stop trying to be cute! BE YOURSELF!
This is Cleo at her finest. This is the Cleo flavor I have missed.
